Item: The Order of the Golden Kite, 6th Class was a Japanese military award established in 1890, given for bravery, leadership, or distinguished service in battle. It was awarded to lower-ranking officers and soldiers for merit in combat. The order was abolished in 1947 after Japan’s defeat in WWII.
