Wehrmacht Heer Generals Tunic and Trousers

Item: Wehrmacht (Heer) General’s uniform jacket & trousers as intended for a ‘General-leutnant’. The German officer uniform followed the basic design of enlisted men and non-commissioned officers. The biggest visible difference was the French style turned-up sleeves. Nice quality ‘private purchase’ field gray M36-style uniform jacket made of field gray wool with a dark green collar and red piping around the collar, sleeves and closure of the jacket. The buttons are all gold-colored, pebbled buttons. The jacket has beautiful sew-in type shoulders, a pair of General’s collar tabs and a beautiful hand-sewn, hand-embroidered General’s chest eagle. The shoulder pads both have one pip attached, which indicates the rank of ‘Generalleutnant’. There are loops on the wearer’s left chest for attaching various awards, and on the right chest there are loops for attaching a ‘Deutsches Kreuz in Gold’. The uniform shows only minor signs of wear. The jacket is complete with matching Generals trousers as found together, the trousers are in very good condition.

This General’s uniform comes from the collection of the in 2022 closed Eyewitness Museum and was previously featured in the diorama there. On our Instagram, you can find a small clip of the tunic being used at the museum.

Wehrmacht (Heer) Generaals uniformjas & broek zoals bedoeld voor een 'General-leutnant'. Het Duitse officieren uniform volgde het basis ontwerp zoals die van de manschappen en onderofficieren. Het grootste zichtbare verschil waren de Franse stijl omgeslagen mouwen. Mooie kwaliteit 'privé aanschaf' veldgrijze M36-stijl uniformjas van veldgrijze wol met een donkergroene kraag en rode biezen om de kraag, mouwen en sluiting van de jas. De knopen zijn allemaal goudkleurige, gepebbelde knopen. De jas heeft mooie schouderstukken van het innaai type, een paar Generaals kraagspiegels en een mooie met de hand opgenaaide hand-geborduurde Generaals borst-adelaar. De schouderstukken hebben beiden één pip bevestigd wat duidt op de rang van 'Generalleutnant'. Op de drager zijn linker borst zitten lusjes voor het bevestigen van diverse onderscheidingen, en op de rechter borst lusjes voor het bevestigen van een 'Deutsches Kreuz in Gold'. Het uniform vertoont slechts lichte draagsporen. De jas is compleet met een matchende Generaalsbroek zoals samen gevonden, de broek is in erg goede staat. Prachtige en zeldzame originele Wehrmacht (Heer) Generaals uniformjas en broek in erg goede staat!
Dit Generaals uniform is afkomstig uit de collectie van het in 2022 gesloten Eyewitness Museum en was voorheen te zien in een diorama in het museum. Op onze Instagram vind je een klein filmpje van de tuniek die in het museum wordt gebruikt.
