Item: The General Assault Badge (German: Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen) was a military decoration awarded during the Second World War to personnel of the German Army, the Waffen-SS and the Ordnungspolizei (order police) who supported an infantry attack but did not disappear from specific infantry units. groups and therefore was not eligible for the Infantry Assault Badge. It was established on June 1, 1940 by General Walther von Brauchitsch.

De General Assault Badge (Duits: Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen) was een militaire onderscheiding die tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog werd toegekend aan personeel van het Duitse leger, de Waffen-SS en de Ordnungspolizei (ordepolitie) die een infanterieaanval steunden maar geen deel uitmaakten van specifieke infanterie-eenheden en daarom kwam niet in aanmerking voor de Infantry Assault Badge. Het werd op 1 juni 1940 ingesteld door generaal Walther von Brauchitsch.
