Item: The German gas masks from World War II were designed to protect soldiers against chemical weapons such as mustard gas. Although gas attacks were rare, all soldiers were routinely issued a gas mask and a metal carrying canister. These masks also offered protection against dust and smoke in combat situations. They symbolize the ongoing threat of chemical warfare at the time and are now part of military collections.

Condition: The canister is in good condition, fully functional, and all straps are present. Inside the canister, the cleaning cloth and spring are included, as well as one  spare lenses. The gas mask itself is also in good condition, with no damage or repairs.

Item: De Duitse gasmaskers uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog waren bedoeld om soldaten te beschermen tegen chemische wapens zoals mosterdgas. Hoewel gasaanvallen zelden voorkwamen, werden alle militairen standaard uitgerust met een gasmasker en een metalen draagbus. Deze maskers boden ook bescherming tegen stof en rook in gevechtssituaties. Ze symboliseren de voortdurende dreiging van chemische oorlogsvoering in die tijd en maken tegenwoordig deel uit van militaire verzamelingen.

Conditie: De bus is in goede staat, werkt volledig en alle riempjes/hangers zijn aanwezig. In de bus zitten het doekje en de veer (spring) nog, evenals 1 van de  reserveglaasjes. Het gasmasker zelf is ook in goede conditie en vertoont geen beschadigingen of reparaties.
