The Hitler Youth (Hitlerjugend) was the youth organization of the NSDAP (the Nazi Party) in Nazi Germany. It was officially established in 1926 and aimed to ideologically train young people in line with National Socialist principles. Boys were prepared for military service, while girls – through the sister organization Bund Deutscher Mädel – were trained in domestic and maternal roles. Membership became mandatory in 1936 for all German youth. The organization played a major role in spreading Nazi ideology and preparing the younger generation for a life in service of the Third Reich.
Condition:
The badge is in good condition with no damage to the enamel. The reverse is maker-marked RZM M1/157 – Phillip Turks. Both attachment prongs are still present.
The photo is also in good condition. It shows a boy who was a member of the Hitler Youth, wearing a similar cap badge to the one included with this photo.

De Hitlerjugend (Hitlerjeugd) was de jeugdorganisatie van de NSDAP (de nazipartij) in nazi-Duitsland. Ze werd officieel opgericht in 1926 en had als doel jongeren ideologisch op te voeden volgens de principes van het nationaalsocialisme. Jongens werden voorbereid op militaire dienst, terwijl meisjes – via de zusterorganisatie Bund Deutscher Mädel – werden getraind in huishoudelijke en moederlijke taken. Lidmaatschap werd vanaf 1936 verplicht voor Duitse jongeren. De organisatie speelde een grote rol in het verspreiden van de nazi-ideologie en in de voorbereiding van de jeugd op een leven in dienst van het Derde Rijk.
Conditie:
De badge verkeert in goede staat en heeft geen beschadigingen aan het emaille. De achterkant is gemerkt met RZM M1/157 – Phillip Turks. Beide bevestigingsprongs zijn nog aanwezig.
De foto is eveneens in goede conditie. Op de afbeelding is een jongen te zien die lid is van de Hitlerjugend, met een soortgelijke cap badge als die bij de foto wordt geleverd.
