The Volksdeutsche Bewegung was a National Socialist organization active in Luxembourg during the Second World War. Led by Damian Kratzenberg, a secondary school teacher from Diekirch, the VDB became the sole legal political party following the German invasion in 1940.
The party’s slogan, “Heim ins Reich” (“Home to the Reich”), clearly reflected its main objective: the integration of Luxembourg into Nazi Germany. This goal was realized in 1942, when Luxembourg was officially annexed and incorporated into the administrative region known as Reichsgau Moselland.

De Volksdeutsche Bewegung was een nationaalsocialistische organisatie die actief was in Luxemburg tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Onder leiding van Damian Kratzenberg, een leraar aan het gymnasium in Diekirch, werd de VDB na de Duitse invasie in 1940 de enige toegestane politieke partij.
De slogan van de partij, "Heim ins Reich" ("Terug naar het Rijk"), weerspiegelde duidelijk het belangrijkste doel: de integratie van Luxemburg in nazi-Duitsland. Dit doel werd in 1942 gerealiseerd, toen Luxemburg officieel werd geannexeerd en opgenomen in de administratieve regio Reichsgau Moselland.
