With the Nazi rise to power in 1933, many sports and leisure organizations were brought into line (Gleichschaltung). The DRV was incorporated into the Nationalsozialistischer Reichsbund für Leibesübungen (NSRL), the central sports organization of the Third Reich. As a result, the association lost its independence and became part of the Nazi propaganda system.
During this period, cycling was promoted not only as a sport but also as a means to improve the physical fitness of the German population in line with Nazi ideology. Bicycle tours, competitions, and championships were organized with a strong National Socialist influence.
Condition: Condition as shown in the photos. A very rare grouping, hard to find!
Item: Deutscher Radfahrer Verband. Met de machtsgreep van de nazi's in 1933 werden veel sport- en vrijetijdsorganisaties gelijkgeschakeld (Gleichschaltung). De DRV werd toen ondergebracht bij de Nationalsozialistischer Reichsbund für Leibesübungen (NSRL), de overkoepelende sportorganisatie van het Derde Rijk. Hierdoor verloor de bond zijn onafhankelijkheid en werd hij onderdeel van het nazi-propagandasysteem.
In deze periode werd fietsen niet alleen gepromoot als sport, maar ook als een manier om de fysieke fitheid van de Duitse bevolking te verbeteren in het kader van de nazi-ideologie. Fietstochten, wedstrijden en kampioenschappen werden georganiseerd met een sterk nationaal-socialistische inslag.
