Item: An exceptional and highly comprehensive personal document grouping belonging to Fritz Fischer, an SA member and later Wehrmacht driver, together with documents relating to his wife Gretel Seidl. The archive traces Fischer’s life from his early involvement with the Sturmabteilung (SA) and the NSDAP, through his military service during the Second World War, to his capture by American forces.
The collection includes his SA Performance Book, SA Sports Badge documents, SA identification card, NSDAP membership card, military driver’s qualifications, firearms license, field post correspondence, marriage certificate, Aryan ancestry certificate, and various official civilian and military documents. Particularly noteworthy is the transcript of his Wehrmacht paybook listing a remarkable series of wartime awards, including the Iron Cross 2nd Class, Wound Badge in Black,
Anti-Partisan Badge in Bronze, and the Order of the Crown of King Zvonimir.
Also included are documents relating to his wife, such as her NSDAP membership card and Reichsluftschutzbund (RLB) membership card, as well as post-war U.S. Army POW questionnaires and personal records, making this an exceptionally complete research archive documenting both military and civilian life during the Third Reich and its aftermath.

Item: Een uitzonderlijke en zeer uitgebreide persoonlijke documentengroep van Fritz Fischer, eerst lid van de Sturmabteilung (SA) en later chauffeur in de Wehrmacht, samen met documenten van zijn echtgenote Gretel Seidl. Het archief volgt Fischers leven vanaf zijn vroege betrokkenheid bij de SA en de NSDAP, via zijn militaire dienst tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog, tot aan zijn gevangenneming door de Amerikaanse strijdkrachten.
De verzameling omvat onder meer zijn SA-Leistungsbuch, documenten van het SA-Sportabzeichen, SA-legitimatiebewijs, NSDAP-lidmaatschapskaart, militaire rijbewijzen en chauffeurskwalificaties, wapenvergunning, veldpostbrieven, huwelijksakte, Ariërverklaring en diverse officiële militaire en burgerlijke documenten. Bijzonder interessant is de transcriptie van zijn Soldbuch, waarin een indrukwekkende reeks onderscheidingen staat vermeld, waaronder het IJzeren Kruis 2e Klasse, het Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz (Zwart Verwondingsinsigne), het Bandenkampfabzeichen in Brons (Anti-Partizaneninsigne) en de Orde van de Kroon van Koning Zvonimir in Brons.
Daarnaast bevat de groep documenten van zijn echtgenote, waaronder haar NSDAP-lidmaatschapskaart en Reichsluftschutzbund (RLB)-lidmaatschapskaart, evenals naoorlogse Amerikaanse krijgsgevangenenformulieren (POW) en persoonlijke dossiers. Hierdoor vormt deze verzameling een uitzonderlijk compleet onderzoeksarchief dat zowel het militaire als het burgerlijke leven tijdens het Derde Rijk en de periode direct na de oorlog documenteert.
